QUETTA: The Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan has directed all concerned high ups to make advance preparations well before more rains in the province.
He also directed to the administration to discharge their duties regarding rescue and relief activities well before the time.
Moreover, the measures should be taken to remove encroachments and hurdles from the nullahs.
All administrative officers should also remain alert to cope with any emergent situation and shift the people to the safer places.
These directives were issued by the Chief Secretary while chairing meeting held to review relief activities in the rain affected areas of the province on Monday.
The meeting discussed the situation caused due to the rains besides the situation likely to be created following the expected heavy rains from Wednesday next.
The Chief Secretary was also briefed about the damages caused due to heavy rains in different districts of the province.
It was also informed that damages have been caused to the houses in Chaghai, Pishin, Harnai and Gwadar besides Quetta.
It was also informed that another spell of heavy rains is expected from Wednesday.
