Assistant Commissioner Usta Muhammad, Muhammad Ramzan Ashtiaq, conducted a surprise visit to various chicken meat sellers on Jinnah Road today, following complaints of overpricing. The visit was made on the special directives of Deputy Commissioner Usta Muhammad, Jaleel Ahmed.
During the visit, several sellers were fined approximately Rs. 11,000 for selling chicken meat at exorbitant prices. The Assistant Commissioner warned that strict action would be taken against those selling above the fixed rates.
The district administration has vowed to ensure strict implementation of price control measures and has warned that it will not let the public be exploited by profiteers. The administration will continue to monitor markets and take necessary steps to provide relief to the public. According to details
