QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Communication and Works, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran has described the provincial budget for next financial year 2023-24 as “poor-friendly” and congratulated the ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) particularly the Chief Minister, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo on presenting an “exemplary” budget
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, the Provincial Minister said that it was a pro-poor budget presented on Monday by the Chief Minister Bizenjo-led provincial government as no new tax has been imposed in it.
Sardar Khetran said that the BAP especially Chief Minister Bizenjo deserve appreciation on making such an excellent budget.
He said that BAP provided relief to the masses as per its manifesto, which would result in comforts for them especially the salaried class.
The Provincial Minister hoped that the budget would help reduce the issue of unemployment besides boosting economic activities in the province.
In addition to this, budgetary allocations have been increased for education, health and road sectors, as compared to previous years, which would benefit the general public, he maintained.
He said that it was the public money which is being spent on them.
He also said that the provincial government provided relief to the public despite all the financial challenges facing the province.
