Congo virus controlled in Balochistan; emergency enforced in Livestock Dept. says Provincial Minister

QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Livestock, Bakht Muhammad Kakar has stated that an emergency has been enforced in Livestock department owing to the threat of Congo virus for last three weeks.
He said that there was threat of Congo virus in the province, however, we have controlled it to great extent.
The Provincial Minister was speaking to the media persons after inauguration of the official cattle market in the Government Poultry Farm here on Thursday.
Bakht Muhammad Kakar on the occasion formally inaugurated the official cattle market. The Secretary Livestock, Muhammad Tayyab Lehri and other senior officials of Livestock department were also present.
The Minister Livestock said that the Livestock department is fully functional at all districts of the province.
He said that the Livestock staff is present at the entry points of the province and cities. The cattles are being allowed to enter after anti-Congo spray and checking.
Referring the official cattle market in Poultry Farm, the Minister Livestock said that the animals are available in the market at reasonable rates.
He said that the cattle market is set up at the government level every year to make available the sacrificial animals at the reasonable rate.
