Press Release. Quetta. Oct. 26
The Balochistan National Party (BNP) Khuzdar has strongly condemned the registration of false cases against party leader Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal and his companions at Islamabad Secretariat Police Station.
In a joint statement, BNP Khuzdar’s Vice President Noor Ahmed Mengal, General Secretary Abdul Nabi Baloch, former Deputy General Secretary Shaukat Siah Pad, and former Labor Secretary Munir Ahmed Rand expressed their outrage, stating that Mengal’s unwavering commitment to his principles and political ideology has been a thorn in the side of the government ¹.
Mengal, a prominent leader of the Baloch people, has refused to acknowledge dictators like Pervez Musharraf, and his resolve remains unshaken despite facing imprisonment and persecution. The BNP leaders emphasized that their party has always stood firm in its struggle for the rights of the Baloch people and will continue to do so.
The statement also highlighted the government’s attempts to silence Mengal and his companions through fabricated cases, which they believe will not deter them from their mission. The BNP has previously expressed frustration with the government’s handling of Balochistan’s affairs, stating that the issue has slipped out of the hands of the political leadership ¹ ².
This development has sparked concerns about the government’s intentions and the ongoing struggle for rights in Balochistan.
