Complete operationalization of tertiary care hospitals essential

QUETTA: The caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki has stated that the provision of quality healthcare facilities is being ensured all over the province, however, it is necessary to fully operationalize the tertiary care hospitals.
He said that sufficient amount is allocated for provision of quality healthcare facilities every year, but there is a dire need to ensure correct use of these resources.
The Chief Minister was speaking on occasion of the visit to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Medical Complex (SKBZMC) Sariab on Tuesday.
He went round of different sections of the SKBZMC and inspected them.
He also inaugurated the Hospital Management Information System in the Sheikh Zayed Hospital.
He said that the data of patients coming in the Hospital would be saved with operationalization of the HMIS.
The patients would also have medical assistance in all sections through connectivity with central database system.
While on the other hand, the medical services would also be improved in the hospital after making the Post graduate Management Institute.
He stressed that the complete operationalization of the tertiary care hospital is necessary so that no one from the province may go to other parts of the country for getting medical treatment.
Earlier, briefing the Chief Minister, Secretary Health Abdullah Khan said that the process of reforms is continued in the health sector on directives of the Chief Minister.
He informed that the supply of medicines is continued in all hospitals of the province.
He said that that the project of HMIS has been completed in the Sheikh Zayed Hospital in short span of one week, which otherwise was pending since 2018.
He said that it is our utmost endeavor to ensure provision of better healthcare facilities after completing the pending projects in the health sector.
The Executive Director Sheikh Zayed Hospital Dr. Zulfiqar Ali informed that all the necessary health facilities are available in 250-bedded hospital.
He said that the services would also improved further with completion of other projects.
