Loralai, August 8: Commissioner Loralai Division, Saed Hasan, has directed that adulterators and hoarders should not be spared, as they are enemies of humanity. He ordered the closure of outlets selling hazardous drinks, papads, and expired items, and action against unregistered products and businesses operating without licenses.
During a meeting with officials from the Balochistan Food Authority, Small Industries, and Food Department, Commissioner Saed Hasan emphasized the need for a joint mechanism between the Food Department, Municipal Committee, Food Authority, and administration to take effective action against adulterators and hoarders.
Divisional Director BFA, Sharafuddin Ghilzai, briefed the meeting, stating that the authority has recovered Rs 3 million in the Loralai zone in a short period, taken action against adulterated milk from Punjab, licensed 150 shopkeepers, registered 86, and imposed fines and destroyed hazardous items. He added that efforts are being made to establish a mobile laboratory in the Loralai zone, for which the commissioner’s cooperation is required. Currently, lab staff are called from Quetta.
