Khuzdar, November 16, 2024: Commissioner Quetta Division Muhammad Naeem Khan Bazai has established a four-member committee to review the progress of the Jhalawan Medical College project in Khuzdar. The committee comprises Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Yasar Iqbal Dasti, Additional Commissioner Kalat Division Ejaz Ahmed Jafar, Director Development Khuzdar Lutfur Rehman, and Project Director Jhalawan Medical College Nasser Barozai.
The committee’s primary objective is to prepare a comprehensive review report on the project’s status and present it to Commissioner Bazai in the next meeting. This move aims to ensure the timely completion of the medical college, addressing the healthcare needs of the region.
Jhalawan Medical College is one of the three medical colleges established in Balochistan, notified by the Government of Balochistan’s Health Department in 2017.¹ The college has been making progress, with admissions to its MBBS courses announced recently.² ³ With the formation of this committee, the authorities are taking proactive steps to expedite the project’s completion.
