Karachi, August 27, 2024 – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah chaired a meeting of the Special Economic Zone Authority (SEZA) board at the CM House. The meeting was attended by various secretaries and members, including Secretary Energy, Chairman P&D, and Secretary Livestock.
The CM emphasized the importance of attracting investment and providing facilities to investors through SEZA. He directed the authority to hire professionals to make it more effective. The CM also stressed the need for SEZA to work with federal and provincial governments to promote investment.
The CM expressed his desire to establish small industrial estates in every district of Sindh, which would create employment opportunities and bring prosperity. He directed the Industries Department, Investment Department, and SEZA to work together to establish industrial zones in every district.
Nine Special Economic Zones have been notified in Sindh, and the CM’s g goal is to make SEZA a vibrant institution for industrialization and investment in the province.
