QUETTA: The Station House Office (SHO) Police Station Industrial was injured in an exchange of fire with bandits on Sirki road on Monday.
According to the police, two bandits attempting to snatch a motorbike on gun point were also injured, and later arrested. One of them succumbed to his injuries, the hospital sources informed.
The reports said that two bandits whose names couldn’t be disclosed were making an attempt to snatch a motorcycle from a youngster, when the SHO Industrial PS Shahzad Ahmed on patrolling reached there. As he tried to apprehend the bandits, they opened fire on him. As a result, he sustained bullet injuries. On retaliation, both bandits were injured. However, they were arrested and shifted to the civil hospital.
However, one of them succumbed to his injuries and died, the hospital sources informed.
Further investigations are in progress.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the successful action against the bandits on Sirki road. He congratulated the police team headed by SHO Shahzad on the arrest of bandits in injured condition.
