CM MOHSIN NAQVI IMMEDIATELY VISITS SAFARI ZOO ON HIS RETURN TO LAHORE FROM RAWALPINDI

Lahore,  : Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi immediately reached Safari Zoo on his return to Lahore from Rawalpindi. CM paid a detailed visit to the Safari Zoo and reviewed ongoing construction activities. Mohsin Naqvi inspected construction projects of the Information Centre along with inspecting the cages of lions and other animals. He took a round of the whole park. CM while announcing to launch Night Safari at the Safari Zoo Park disclosed that special huts will be built at the Safari Zoo Park where people can stay as well. All preventive measures will be taken according to the international standards. Mohsin Naqvi informed that 200 new animals will be a source of entertainment and interest for the children. International standard cages will be built for the animals. The Safari Park will be upgraded according to the international standard along with Lahore Zoo. Secretary C&W and Secretary Forest gave a briefing about progress being made on the project. CM while talking with the media after visiting the Safari Zoo revealed that there is a good news for the people across Punjab including Lahore as we are going to launch Night Safari at the Safari Zoo. Excellent  entertainment will be provided to the people according to the international standards and protocols. A unique entertainment will be provided to the people in the Night Safari. A rest house will be established in the Night Safari in which families can stay as well.The Companies can also hold ceremonies in the Safari Zoo Rest House.The Safari Zoo and other Lahore projects will be completed by 31st January. We are also introducing three elephants and nine giraffes as there is a dearth of space at the Lahore Zoo. The moment residing places are completed in the zoo then we will arrange bringing of animals. We are introducing 200 animals of 100 kinds for the Lahore Zoo and Safari Zoo. Such kinds of animals are being introduced which the children have not seen in Lahore before. The Ministers are monitoring these projects for 3-5 hours daily. I have faith in Allah Almighty and trust in the hardwork of the whole team. The projects will be completed by 31st January. There are few entertainment opportunities for the children in Lahore. The interest of the people dwindled due to deplorable state of the entertainment places.Different crackdowns being launched including encroachments are ongoing but people repeat their practices after a lapse of few days. People get caught in the crackdown and when they get freed repeat their same malpractices. The process of police personnel induction will be completed soon.Vacations will be extended on the recommendations of the Education department and they stand till 9th January till to date. SL 3 and Gujranwala Expressway projects will be completed by 31st January. Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi project will be completed by 31st January. High- level efforts are ongoing to bring Panda from China. I take feedback from various departments about completion of the projects along with undertaking their continuous monitoring. Ministers, officers, officials all are monitoring the projects.Whereever there is any apprehension of a delay in the project, our team reaches their immediately. C&W department is working on multiple projects. An effort will be made for making an artificial rain in case of arriving adequate clouds.So far, there are not enough clouds. Fog has engulfed the whole of Punjab. There used to be no fog in Rawalpindi but it persists over their as well. Faisalabad, Sialkot and Lahore airports get closed due to fog. We pray to Allah Almighty for rain fall  soon. Provincial Ministers Amir Mir, Bilal Afzal, Secretary Livestock, Commissioner Lahore, DG Wildlife, Deputy Commissioner and concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
