“I am the Chief Minister of all, together we will walk,” said Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif in a meeting with the members of provincial assembly from different districts of the province.
The MPAs apprised Madam Chief Minister about public problems and development needs of their respective constituencies. They also presented their suggestions and recommendations in this regard. Madam Chief Minister noted their recommendations and directed the authorities concerned to implement the workable suggestions at the earliest.
The MPAs congratulated Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on the success of Ramadan Nigahban Package. They appreciated and thanked Madam Chief Minister for “Sathra Punjab” and other projects including the construction and repair of 600 roads, 5 expressways and 3 motorways in Punjab.
Madam Chief Minister said,” 100% free medicines and their delivery at patients’ doorsteps will be started soon across Punjab.” She added,” The mobile hospital and clinic-on-wheels project for the treatment of patients in villages and remote areas will start soon. “Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said,” Rural and primary health centers across Punjab will be revamped within 6 months.” She added,” We are also trying to improve water supply and drainage issues across in the province.”
Madam Chief Minister highlighted,” Safe city projects will be started in 18 more cities of Punjab in next 3 months.” She added,” A comprehensive system of solid waste collection is being implemented in 36 districts across the province.”
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif mentioned.”20,000 motorbikes are being given to students, 3000 bikes will be given in each district.” She added,” To meet people’s need of their own house, one lakh housing units will be constructed for low income people across Punjab. “Visiting MPAs assured Madam Chief Minister of their full support for the betterment of Punjab. They said,” Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s actions are commendable, we pray for her success.”
“Maryam Nawaz Sharif becoming the first Chief Minister is every woman’s honor,” said women MPs.
Provincial Minister Chaudhry Shafi Hussain, Raja Mohammad Aslam Khan, Khalid Javed Asghar Gharal, Madad Ali Shah, Chaudhry Ejaz Ahmed, Hassan Askari Sheikh, Tashfeen Safdar, Salma Saeed, Syeda Samreen Taj attended the meeting.
Syed Ali Haider Geelani, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Malik Wasif Mazhar, Muhammad Iqbal, Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Aamir Ali Shah, Qazi Ahmed Syed, Sardar Habib Rehman Khan, Rais Nabeel Ahmed, Mian Alamdar Abbas Qureshi, Shazia Abid, Neelam Jabbar Chaudhry, Nargis. Faiza Malik, Rabia Nazir and others also attended the meeting. Former Senator Saud Majeed, and MPA Khalid Jaja were also among those who met.
Muhammad Aurangzeb, Former Senator Pervaiz Rashid, Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, and Special Assistant Zeeshan Malik were also present on the occasion.
