CM directed to provide prompt relief to masses after reduction in petrol prices: Jan Achakzai

QUETTA: The caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki has issued standing directives to provide maximum relief to the general public following marked reduction in the prices of petrol and petroleum products in the country.
He said that the divisional and district administration of all the divisions and districts have been issued directives to take effective steps for provision of relief to the masses as there has been marked reduction in the fuel prices in the country a couple of days.
This was informed by the caretaker Provincial Minister for Information, Jan Achakzai in a video message issued here on Tuesday.
Jan Achakzai said that he has himself talked to the Commissioner Quetta and asked him to take effective measures for relief to the masses after record relief given in form of fuel prices by the caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar.
He said that the administration has been directed to engage the provincial transport authority to talk to the transporters for maximum relief to the masses in transport sector.
Similarly, the administration has also been asked to talk to the traders organization for provision of the relief to the public in prices of the daily used commodities and edibles.
Meanwhile, in an official statement issued here the same day, the Minister Information Jan Achakzai stressed that the effects of reduction in fuel prices must reach the common men. In this regard, the sale of edibles and other commodities should be ensured on the official rates, adding he stressed.
He also directed to give punishment to those who are fleecing the people and refuse to provide relief to the people.
The Minister said that the interim provincial government is determined to provide relief to the masses under leadership of Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Domki.
He said that the Prime Minister Kakar has also issued orders to provide relief to the masses at every cost.
He said that the federal and provincial governments are striving together for interests of the public.
He regretfully pointed out that the prices of commodities start increasing soon after the increase in fuel price, but no reduction is made when the prices are decreased. But, this practice would no more let repeated, and those found involved in profiteering would be taken to task, adding he asserted.
