QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has expressed concern about delay in development projects of the provincial assembly and directed to the concerned high ups to expedite work on these projects.
The Chief Minister also directed to complete all the ongoing development projects of provincial assembly within next six months.
He issued these directives during visit of the development projects and a review meeting about these projects in the provincial assembly on Monday. Also present in the meeting were the Speaker, Captain (Retd) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai, Deputy Speaker, Ms. Ghazala Gola, provincial ministers, Chief Secretary, Shakeel Qadir Khan, besides other concerned high ups.
The senior officers of Planning and Development, Finance, Communication and Works and Secretary Provincial Assembly briefed the Chief Minister about the progress of different development projects of the assembly.
The Chief Minister directed to appoint a Project Director for effective coordination among different departments engaged in execution of the development projects in provincial assembly.
He noted with concern that the cost of development projects is increasing due to unnecessary delay.
He directed to expedite pace of work after removing obstacles in the development work.
Earlie, he visited different development projects and inspected the work going on there.
