CM calls for promoting skill-based education in different sectors along with traditional degree programme

QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has underlined the need to promote skill-based education in different sectors in addition to the traditional degree programme in educational institutions.
The Chief Minister was speaking to the Secretary Welfare Fund, Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, Zulfiqar Khan, who called on him in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The Secretary Welfare Fund informed about the ongoing social security programme continued in the province.
He told that there are 19,000 workers are registered in the social security programme in which 90 percent are labourers working in the mines.
He said that the children of workers are being provided educational support under the Government of Pakistan Workers Welfare Fund.
The Chief Minister appreciated the workers Fund under the social security programme.
He said that every individual can’t be given jobs in government sectors remaining in the available resources of the province.
He said that there is demand of the technical persons in different sectors all over the world.
Therefore, it is necessary to provide respectable livelihood by making the youth skilled, adding he stressed.
Meanwhile, the Inspector General Motorway Police, Salman Chaudhary also called on the Chief Minister in Islamabad the same day.
During the course of meeting, they discussed about the international certification of heavy driving learning skills for youth.
The Inspector General of Motorway Police informed that comprehensive programme is being chalked out for issuance of the C category Driving licenses to the youth of Balochistan.
The Chief Minister appreciated the heavy driving learning skills programme under the Motorway Police.
