CM attends oath taking ceremony of new CJP, greets on assuming office, expresses best wishes

QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti participated in the ceremony of oath taking of the new Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mr. Justice Yahya Afridi held in Aiwane Sadar, Islamabad on Saturday.
Besides him, the Chief Minister Punjab, Ms. Maryam Nawaz, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhaw, Ali Amin Gandapur and other high ups and personalities participated in the oath taking ceremony.
The Chief Minister congratulated Mr. Justice Yahya Afridi on assuming the office of Chief Justice of Pakistan.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti also expressed best wishes for the Chief Justice Mr. Justice Yahya Afridi.
Meanwhile, in a felicitation message issued here on Saturday, the Chief Minister hailed the appointment of Mr. Justice Yahya Afridi as Chief Justice of Pakistan.
He believed that Mr. Justice Yahya Afridi would play key role for supremacy of law and constitution in the country.
He said that his previous judgments made for dispensation of Justice according to the law and constitution have immense importance.
He said that the role of higher judiciary can’t be forgotten in formation of the society based on the equality.
The Chief Minister also said that parliament and judiciary have their own important role for rule of law and supremacy of constitution according to their mandate.
He stressed that formation of the constitutional benches is very unavoidable and adding he hoped that new Chief Justice would take steps for formation of the constitutional benches in his first priority to dispose of the important constitutional matters.
