QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has stated that boxer Muhammad Waseem is our pride and as such every possible assistance would be extended to him.
The Chief Minister directed to the Sports and Culture department to send a summary to him for assistance of boxer Muhammad Waseem.
He was speaking to Boxer Muhammad Waseem who called on him here at the Chief Minister’s secretariat on Wednesday.
Also present in the meeting were the Advisor to Chief Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Ms. Meena Majeed Baloch, Member National Assembly, Nawabzada Jamal Raisani, Secretary Sports and other concerned high ups.
The Chief Minister congratulated Muhammad Waseem on winning 13 international fights during his professional career.
He said that we are providing opportunities to promote sports in the province. In this regard, the youth of province also are being provided better opportunities of healthy activities, adding he mentioned.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that first youth policy of the province has been approved in which there is an important role of Nawabzada Jamal Raisani.
He said that Nawabzada Jamal Raisani is a capable young parliamentarian and we would benefit from his capabilities. He recalled that father of Jamal Raisani, Nawabzada Siraj Raisani had also rendered sacrifice of his life for the country.
Boxer Waseem said that he would continue his hard work for brightening the name of Pakistan and Balochistan at the international level.
It may be mentioned here that boxer Muhammad Waseem arrived in Quetta on Wednesday after winning his international bout in Malta against a Georgian boxer.
He had knocked his rival out in the third round of international ranking fight.
