Islamabad, The Clean Islamabad Mission, launched on the special directives of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, has successfully concluded, achieving zero waste in the capital city for the first time in history. Citizens have expressed their gratitude to Chairman CDA and the entire team for their remarkable efforts.
On the special directive of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the CDA administration successfully completed the Clean Islamabad Mission on Eid al-Adha, providing rapid services to citizens and ensuring excellent cleanliness arrangements across the city. Animal waste was promptly removed from all areas of Islamabad during the three days of Eid.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the performance of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa who personally monitored the Zero Waste Operation. CDA, Islamabad Police, and Safe City officials and staff worked diligently to ensure the city’s cleanliness.” He added, “The team deserves accolades for their remarkable efforts in keeping Islamabad clean and providing excellent services to citizens.”
For the first time in history, CDA, Islamabad Police, and Safe City successfully collaborated to achieve zero waste in the capital city, setting a high standard for public service. Over 2,500 staff members and 200 vehicles and machinery worked tirelessly to ensure the city’s cleanliness. CDA distributed free bio-degradable bags among citizens, which can naturally decompose after a certain period. A total of 110 points were established for the convenience of citizens.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Memon, monitored the zero-waste operation through Safe City cameras. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the team for their exceptional work, saying, “The entire team deserves accolades for their remarkable efforts in keeping Islamabad clean and providing excellent services to citizens.” He also acknowledged the citizens’ cooperation in maintaining the city’s cleanliness.
Chairman CDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, IG Islamabad Police, Ali Nasir Rizvi, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Memon, and Safe City officials also praised the team for their exceptional work. The team’s hard work and dedication have set a new standard for public service in Islamabad.
