Christmas Celebration at Nolakha Presbyterian Church

As Christmas approaches, the series of events is getting faster all over Pakistan and Christmas cakes are being cutting in various churches etc., while continuing this series, a wonderful event was also held in the Nolakha Presbyterian Church in Lahore. The ceremony was attended by former Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, former Provincial Human Rights Minister Khalil Tahir Sindhu, renowned singer Waris Baig, Director of Human Rights Dr. Muhammad Yusuf, various Bishops, moderators and families of people associated with Nolakha Church. Pastor Reverend Dr. Majeed Abel, while hosting the event, highlighted the importance of Christmas. Dr Majeed Abel said that there is a teaching of peace and love in every religion whiel we are all one under the shadow of the national flag.
All the speakers congratulated Dr. Majeed Abel for organizing the event. Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said in his address that he always kept the doors of Governor House open for Christian students during his tenure and ensured the return of missionary schools. He said that the justice system has to be implemented as it is done in Europe etc. Khalil Tahir Sandhu said that it is a matter of happiness that Dr. Majeed Abel always decorates such a beautiful bouquet, while in such an atmosphere of suffocation, such ceremonies are very necessary. He emphasized that sorrow is less by sharing while happiness is increased by sharing. Director Human Rights Punjab Muhammad Yusuf, while offering Christmas greetings to the Christian community, said that without a doubt, the best example of inter-faith harmony is being established today. Different skits and different kinds of songs were also presented by the children in the event. One minute’s silence was observed in the ceremony to express solidarity with Palestine and Gaza. at the end of the ceremony, Dr. Majeed Abel prayed for the development and prosperity of Pakistan and also cut the Christmas cake along with all guests.
