QUETTA: The Christian community of Quetta celebrated the Easter festival with religious respect and enthusiasm in the metropolis on Sunday.
While the big religious gatherings were held at different churches located in the metropolis with large number of people from Christian community participated in them, the families also celebrated the festival at their homes.
Such main gathering on eve of the Easter was held at the Methodist Church, Zarghoon road where special service was held.
A large number of people belonging to Christian community including men, women and children wearing new clothes and dresses participated in the special service.
Special security arrangements were made by the police in and around the churches to prevent any untoward incident.
Meanwhile, the people exchanged greetings of Easter with each other.
