QUETTA: The Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has stated that Balochistan is an important link of mega project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) while Gwadar is the shining jewel in its(CPEC)’s crown.
He said that Pakistan especially Balochistan would become hub of all economic activities with completion of the CPEC and as such there is a need to benefit from the profitable opportunities of investment available in the province.
The Governor was speaking to the Chinese Consul General based in Karachi, Yang Yundong, who called on him here at the Governor House on Thursday.
During the course of meeting, the matters pertaining to the political and economic changes taking place in the region as well as healthcare facilities and educational scholarships for the students were discussed.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor said that China is our time-tested friend, which has supported Pakistan at different times in history.
He stressed that we would have to learn modern skills along with modern education in view of the future challenges facing both the countries.
The Chinese Consul General on the occasion invited Governor to visit China. Both the leaders were agreed on extending cooperation and assistance in different sectors.
