Chief Minister Bugti directs to prepare revised mechanism for effective use of funds allocated for departmental grant-in-aid

QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has decided to take practical steps for promotion of the localized culture and civilization of the province.
In this regard, the provincial government decided to hold cultural festival in Ziarat by end of the current month besides arranging Azadi (independence) mushaira (poetry session) in next month.
Besides, Balochistan Literature Festival would also be organized in first month of next year.
These decisions were made during a review meeting on the departmental affairs of Culture, Tourism and Archeology department held with Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti in the chair here on Tuesday.
The Chief Secretary, Shakeel Qadir Khan and administrative secretaries of the provincial government departments were in attendance.
While chairing the meeting, Chief Minister directed to promote departmental initiatives regarding cultural events on social media in a big way.
The meeting decided to hold different cultural events for promotion of the province’s culture, tourism and historic heritage.
Earlier, the concerned high ups briefed the meeting about different departmental matters and wings. They also briefed about the new and ongoing development projects of the departments.
In addition to this, the funds allocated for grant-in-aid for the cultural and tourism activities in the province.
