Caretaker Provincial Health Minister Prof. Dr. Javed Akram attended the opening ceremony

            Caretaker Provincial Health Minister Prof. Dr. Javed Akram attended the opening ceremony of the 5th International Biennial Pediatric Nephrology Conference as a special guest at a local hotel. The conference was organized by the International Pediatric Nephrology Association. A large number of ladies and gentlemen including Prof. Dr. Iftikhar Ijaz, Vice Chancellor University of Child Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Masood Sadiq, CEO of Mayo Hospital Prof. Dr. Haroon Hamid, Dr. Noreen Akhtar and Dr. Farhana Amanullah participated on this occasion. Caretaker Provincial Health Minister Prof. Dr. Javed Akram also distributed commemorative shields among the guests and speakers on this occasion. Vice Chancellor University of Child Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Masood Sadiq also expressed his views during the conference.

            Caretaker Provincial Health Minister Prof. Dr. Javed Akram said on this occasion that he congratulated the administration for organizing the conference on the most important topic. 48% of Pakistan’s population consists of children. The main purpose of creating the University of Child Health Sciences is to conduct research to protect the children of Pakistan from dangerous diseases.  Pakistan is going to become the third largest country in the world in terms of population in the next twenty years. We have to provide better health facilities to the people of Pakistan in the same ratio. We are promoting quality research in all medical institutions of Punjab. According to the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, we are trying to provide better health facilities to the people.  Under the direction of Mohsin Naqvi, the revamping of more than a hundred public hospitals of Punjab is being ensured on a fast track. Free primary angioplasty facilities are being provided to patients in all cardiology hospitals of Punjab. In the past, the facility of primary angioplasty was available only to the elite of Pakistan.
