QUETTA: The caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki has constituted a special committee for making the Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (B-TEVTA) fully functional.
He has directed to the concerned high ups to take emergent measures for operationalization of the B-TEVTA. In this regard, the special committee should ensure implementation on the initiatives after proposing it.
The caretaker Chief Minister was presiding over the 8th meeting of the board of B-TEVTA here on Wednesday.
Those who were present in the meeting were included the caretaker Provincial Minister for Finance and Revenue, Amjad Rasheed, caretaker Minister for Education, Dr. Qadir Bakhsh Baloch, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development, Abdul Saboor Khan Kakar besides other concerned high ups.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister said that special attention is being given on technical and vocational training all over the world instead of traditional education in the present modern era.
The youngsters are being imparted technical education in information technology and other different sectors and thus being guided in the right directions, Mr. Domki maintained.
This is why, we need to encourage the technical and vocational training institutions and produce skilled human resource by making them functional.
The Chief Minister directed the special committee to take steps for making the authority effective by suggesting the measures in this regard.
He asserted that there’s no room for further delay in making the B-TEVTA functional.
In addition to this, the transparent use of monthly income to be acquired from the fund established for the authority, the Chief Minister added.
Moreover, he directed to present the comprehensive work plan for making the authority more effective in its next board meeting so as to make the important institution useful and expand process of technical training and provision of education for the youth in different sectors.
