Caretaker Balochistan cabinet approves magistrate powers for EPA under Environmental Protection Act

QUETTA: The caretaker Balochistan cabinet has approved to confer the powers of magistrate to the concerned Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under Section 1 of clause Section 32 of the Balochistan Environmental Protection Act 2012.
The interim cabinet also approved to release funds for the Paeds oncology established with cooperation of Indus Hospital in the Sheikh Zayed Hospital Quetta.
The cabinet was agreed upon to extend assistance to all projects of public nature at the government level. In addition to this, the treachery care hospitals would also be improved all over the province further.
The decisions were made during the meeting of interim cabinet of Balochistan met with the Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki in the chair on Monday.
It was second meeting of the interim provincial cabinet chaired by Mr. Domki.
The cabinet decided to form a committee regarding first ever cloud policy 2023 of Balochistan by the department of Science and Information Technology.
The committee would present the policy in the next cabinet meeting for approval after thorough consideration.
Moreover, the cabinet also approved the amended policy of the establishment of the Project Directors, Project staff and Project management unit under the department of Planning and Development Department.
The cabinet also decided to improve the solid waste management system in Quetta.
Similarly, it was decided to present the pending rules of all departments for approval after being vetted from the concerned forums.
Addressing the cabinet meeting, the caretaker Chief Minister mentioned that certain important decisions were made about the pending matters of different departments as well as those related to the public interests and administrative affairs.
He pledged that whatever time we have would be utilized for the public welfare.
He said that the basic objective behind approval of the important decisions is a step forward towards good governance in the province.
