QUETTA: The campaign against illegal and unauthorized rickshaws is continued in the provincial metropolis.
According to the official sources, the campaign had been launched by the Retional Transport Authority (RTA) and Quetta Traffic Police on special directives of the Commissioner Quetta, Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat some time back.
During the campaign, action is being taken against the illegal and unauthorized rickshaws plying in the metropolis.
In all 14 illegal rickshaws were impounded while 41 others were challaned on violation of the traffic laws on Joint road the other day.
The administration has warned that the campaign against illegal rickshaws would remain continued in future as well.
Besides, the ban has been imposed on new rickshaws in the Quetta division by the Commissioner, it was mentioned in the official hand out issued here the other day.
