BREACH IN QIASAR BRANCH CANAL CAUSES WIDESPREAD FLOODING IN JACOBABAD

Jacobabad, August 18: A massive 80-foot-wide breach has occurred in the Qiasar Branch Canal following heavy rainfall in the area. The breach has resulted in millions of acres of agricultural land and hundreds of villages in UC Baqa Pur being inundated with water.

Despite the severity of the situation, the irrigation staff and district administration have been accused of being complacent. However, local residents have taken matters into their own hands and are working tirelessly to plug the breach and prevent further damage.

The breach has caused widespread devastation, with crops and homes being destroyed. The affected residents are facing significant challenges in accessing basic necessities like food and clean water. Efforts are underway to repair the canal and restore normalcy to the area.
