BNP-Awami President rejects Balochistan’s budget for next Financial Year

QUETTA: The President of Balochistan National Party-Awami (BNP-A) and Member Provincial Assembly, Mir Asadullah Baloch has rejected the provincial budget for the next financial year saying that the budget was prepared in Chief Minister’s secretariat instead of the Planning and Development Department.
The BNP-Awami chief said that the elite class has been benefitted in the budget and nothing else.
He alleged that no administrative secretary of any department doesn’t know as which schemes have been included in the public sector development programme.
He also alleged that the public development schemes of Panjgur amounting to Rs. 7 billion have been cut in the current financial year budget. The Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has cut the schemes of Panjgur, and the schemes of the district has also not been included in the next financial year budget, he charged further while addressing a press conference here at the Quetta Press club on Sunday.
Mir Asadullah Baloch said that he has not come in the assembly by parachute, rather people of Panjagur has given him mandate.
He charged that the Chief Minister Bugti has reflected Rs. 16 billion for his election constituency in the next financial year budget. He demanded schemes for all constituencies on equal basis in the next budget. Besides he also demanded to provide interest-free loans to the agriculturists of the province and establish standard hospitals to provide quality healthcare services to the masses.
He appealed to the Chief Justice Balochistan High Court to look into the matter and meet the requirements of justice in it.
He also pointed out that almost one million people are jobless in Balochistan as such job opportunities should be provided to the unemployed youth.
Mir Asadullah Baloch on an occasion said that the people of Balochistan have not benefitted from the CPEC and Saindak projects. He said that we would accept the CPEC which would start from Gwadar instead of Lahore.
He also urged the people of Balochistan to get united for their rights.
