A one-day blood donation camp was organized at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University’s central campus to save the lives of children suffering from Thalassemia. The camp, titled “A Drop of Blood, A Gift of Life,” was arranged by the Directorate of Students’ Welfare in collaboration with the Thalassemia Center Nawabshah.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Syed Muddasir Ali Shah visited the camp and met with the students who donated blood. He praised their efforts and distributed certificates among them. He emphasized that blood donation is a natural process and encouraged students to continue donating blood to save the lives of Thalassemia patients.
Professors Dr. Liaquat Ali Zardari, Dr. Muhammad Sadique Siyal, Professor Dr. Ali Bakhsh Somro, and Dr. Naresh Kumar highlighted the importance of blood donation, stating that Thalassemia patients can live up to 25 years with regular blood transfusions. They also emphasized that blood donation improves overall health
