Bitcoin inches up to $51,451 despite profit taking

ISLAMABAD,  : The cryptocurrency market edged up following on Thursday amid a weaker US dollar, with the market capitalization gaining 1.1 percent to reach $2.07 trillion.

As of 1310 hours GMT, the price of Bitcoin, the world’s oldest and most valued cryptocurrency, inched up to $51,451 with an increase of 0.1 percent in the last 24 hours. The market capitalization of the biggest crypto has reached $1.01 trillion with this increase. Bitcoin has been 1.7 percent down in the past seven days.

Bitcoin paused its rally and remained within the $51,000 level despite profit booking activities among market participants. Immediate resistance levels are identified at $51,800 and $52,400, with support established at the $51,200 level.

On the other hand, Ether (ETH), the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, went up by 1.8 percent to reach $2,977. With this increase in price, the market capitalization of ETH has reached $357.7 billion. ETH has gained 6.4 percent of its value during the last seven days.

Similarly, Binance Coin (BNB) price increased by 2.4 percent to reach $381. The market capitalization of BNB has reached $58.6 billion with this increase. BNB has gained 9.6 percent of its value during the last seven days.

On the other hand, Solana price increased by 0.9 percent to reach $105. With this increase in price, its market capitalization has reached $46.3 billion. SOL has shed 9.5 percent of its value during the last seven days.

On the other hand, the price of Ripple (XRP) decreased by 0.1 percent to reach $0.543. The market capitalization of XRP stands at $29.7 billion with this decrease. XRP has shed 1.3 percent of its value during the last seven days.

Other top coins, including Dogecoin (DOGE), Cardano (ADA) and Litecoin (LTC) saw minor dips across the board. The JasmyCoin (JASMY) token emerged as the biggest gainer of the lot, with a 24-hour jump of over 41 percent. Lido DAO (LDO) became the biggest loser, with a 24-hour dip of over 9 percent.
