QUETTA: The students of Balochistan Residential College (BRC) Loralai clinched top two positions and shared third position with a student of Cadet College Kohlu in the annual examinations of Secondary School Certificate (Matriculation) 2024 as its result was announced here on Monday.
According to the Controller Examinations, Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Quetta, Ms. Abida Kakar, the BRC students namely Rasad Khan secured first position obtaining 1054 marks while the BRC’s Zainullah Khan clinched second position by getting 1048 marks.
Two other students of the same institution (BRC) Abdul Rehman and Syed Abdul Aleem stood third in the Matric examination securing 1047 marks. Similarly, Cadet College Kohlu’s Shahzad Khan also obtained 1047 marks to share third position with the BRC students.
The Controller Examinations, BISE informed that a total of 143,849 students had appeared in the examinations of them 121,362 were declared successful showing success percentage of 84.36 percent.
A total of 50,558 candidates were declared successful out of total 67,800 candidates appeared in the examinations of 9th class while a total of 70,804 could pass the 10th class examination out of total 76,049 candidates.
The pass percentage remained 74.57 percent and 93.10 percent in 9th and 10th classes respectively.
Meanwhile, the Chairman BISE Ejaz Ahmed Baloch, Controller, Abida Kakar and Secretary, Muhammad Azeem Sajidi have congratulated all the successful candidates in general and position holders in particular.
They said that the nation have lot of expectations with these youth and hoped these students would brighten the name of the country and nation and especially province by working hard further
