BHC takes prompt notice of kidnapping  of child from Quetta; seeks progress report from concerned high ups

QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court (BHC) has taken prompt notice of the kidnapping of a boy child from Quetta and ordered to the Additional Chief Secretary Home and Deputy Inspector General of Police to supervise the investigation of case under their supervision.

The BHC also ordered the concerned high ups to keep abreast the court about progress in the case.

The BHC ordered this during hearing of the petition submitted for recovery of 10-year Muhammad Musawwir by one Raz Muhammad son of Nooruddin here on Saturday.

The Court comprising Chief Justice, Mr. Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar, Mr. Justice Muhammad Kamran Mullakhail and Mr. Justice Muhammad Aamir Nawaz Rana converted the petition for recovery of the child into a constitutional petition.

Besides this, the Court directed Additional Chief Secretary Home to submit progress report about establishment of forensic science laboratory in next hearing.

The court also directed to Additional Attorney General to seek attendance of Project Director Quetta Safe City Project and present before the bench in next hearing on November 19, 2024.
