Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD) Gains Global Support at World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) in Qatar
Doha, Qatar – – Qaiser Nawab, President of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), held a meeting with American Expert Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development, on the sidelines of the prestigious World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) in Doha, Qatar.
During the WISE event on November 28-29, 2023, Mr. Nawab introduced the core vision and mission of BRISD, emphasizing its commitment to fostering sustainable development along the Belt and Road. Professor Sachs, a renowned figure in sustainable development, lauded the initiative and pledged his support, highlighting the pivotal role it can play in addressing global educational challenges.
The Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development envisions a future where the Belt and Road Initiative serves as a catalyst for sustainable development, fostering economic prosperity, environmental stewardship, and social equity. Its mission is to provide a platform for dialogue, research, and collaboration that empowers BRI countries to navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities for sustainable growth. Mr. Nawab and Professor Sachs jointly acknowledged the visionary leadership of China in extending support to the developing world, envisioning a shared future for humanity.

This collaboration will open up the avenues to work in collaboration with multiple stakeholders to bring sustainability along BRI.
