BEAUTMEZ STAFF ASSOCIATION HOLDS PEACEFUL PROTEST RALLY OVER UNMET DEMANDS, INCLUDING PAYMENT OF SALARIES, STOPPING CORRUPTION, AND REMOVAL OF CORRUPT REGISTRAR
A peaceful protest rally was organized by the Beautmez Staff Association to press for their demands, including payment of salaries, stopping corruption in the institution, restoration of house requisition, bonus, medical policy, study leave salary, promotions, restoration of student scholarships, and removal of corrupt registrar, among others.
The rally, which started from the Beautmez admin office, was attended by hundreds of employees and students. The protesters chanted slogans in favor of their demands. The rally turned into a protest meeting at the Markhor Chowk Airport Road.
Addressing the protesters, Beautmez Staff Association President Sohail Anwar said that the corrupt administration in Beautmez, which has now taken the shape of a mafia, has looted the legitimate rights of Beautmez employees. He cited examples of corruption, including non-payment of salaries, bonuses, and house requisition, as well as restrictions on study leave and promotions.
Anwar also mentioned that the Anti-Corruption Department of Balochistan has initiated an investigation against the corrupt registrar of Beautmez, Dr. Zaid Roff. He demanded that Dr. Roff be removed from his administrative post.
