The Embassy of Pakistan in Paris hosted a captivating solo painting exhibition by Barkaat, titled “Silent Horizons – A Journey Through Brush and Soul,” at Pakistan House. The event drew a diverse crowd, including ambassadors, art enthusiasts, and individuals from all walks of life.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to France, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, welcomed guests and highlighted the exhibition’s unique convergence of disability and artistry. Barkaat’s remarkable story, which began 16 years ago after a life-altering accident left him paralyzed and aphasic, inspired awe. Defying adversity, Barkaat discovered painting as a means of self-expression and healing.
