Quetta, Nov. 13 – Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, chaired a high-level meeting to discuss the provincial action plan, emphasizing that restoring peace is the top priority for sustainable development in the province.
The meeting, attended by Chief Secretary Shakil Durrani, focused on combating terrorism, crime, extortion, and smuggling through effective measures. Bugti stressed the importance of incorporating modern technology into the action plan and ordered the investigation process to be modernized.

Bugti’s commitment to peace and development follows his election as Chief Minister in March 2024.¹ As a proponent of an Islamic welfare state, he aims to address Balochistan’s high poverty rate. With his leadership, the province is expected to see significant improvements in governance and peace.
