QUETTA: The Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has stated that Balochistan is the most beautiful tourist destination and we are working on comprehensive strategy for promotion of tourism in the province.
He said that the government is determined to make Balochistan most attractive tourism center of Pakistan.
These views were expressed by the Chief Minister in a message issued on eve of the World Tourism Day observed on Friday, 27th September, all over the globe including Balochistan and Pakistan.
The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of pleasure that the World Tourism Day is being observed under theme of “tourism and peace” today.
He said that people belonging to all schools of thought are settled in Balochistan and the inhabitants of the province are stick to the centuries old traditions.
The Chief Minister mentioned that this region, which falls on almost half area of the country is famous for long rivers, open fields, desert land and high mountainous ranges. This region has also unique status geographically.
He said that Balochistan has been the unction of different civilizations since ancient era. He said that the passes located in the province used to consider symbol of guidance for conquerors in the past. The Bolan Pass, Moola Pass and Zhob have the historic status and importance, he added. While on the other hand, Makran desert is also situated in Balochistan, which is otherwise included in big deserts of the world.
He said that we are determined to make Balochistan most attractive tourism hub. He said that promotion of peace is possible through tourism and added that candles of love and peace among different nations and cultures with tourism.
At the outset, Balochistan is a very lively region from tourism point of view and as such we would promote it, adding he vowed.
