Quetta, Balochistan – Balochistan Information Minister Jan Achakzai has welcomed Prime Minister Anwar Kakar’s crackdown on sugar smuggling. He said the effort will help to reduce the price of sugar in the province.
Achakzai said that the Frontier Corps (FC) North has led a successful operation against sugar smugglers in Balochistan, impounding a large quantity of the commodity. He said the FC has become a focal agency to lead the efforts to curb sugar smuggling.
The information minister assured the people of Balochistan that the government will do everything in its power to control the menace of sugar smuggling and ensure that the price of sugar remains affordable.
