Quetta, Oct. 7, – In a landmark move, Balochistan’s Information Department held its first-ever online meeting via Google Meet, chaired by Provincial Secretary Information Imran Khan Afridi, marking a significant leap towards digital transformation. The virtual session, attended by Director General Public Relations Noor Kehtran and other officials, aimed to enhance departmental performance, efficiency, and effectiveness in promoting government initiatives. Afridi directed officials to leverage technology for seamless communication, innovative strategies, and timely information dissemination. Key discussions addressed streamlining information, media engagement, and showcasing Balochistan’s development projects, aligning with Pakistan’s Digital Pakistan Initiative and National Digital Policy 2024. This shift towards digitalization is expected to improve governance, citizen engagement, and economic growth in the province.
