Quetta, August 4: The Government of Balochistan has put the Communications and Works Department on high alert due to the recent heavy rains in the province. Secretary Communications and Works, Lal Jan Jafer, has directed all staff to remain vigilant and prepared to deal with emergency situations 24/7.
The department has been instructed to prioritize the restoration of contact roads and ensure that any disruptions are addressed promptly. The Secretary has warned that any negligence or weakness in restoration work will not be tolerated.
The Chief Engineers of the three zones and District Engineers have been directed to remain alert with their staff and machinery. The department’s staff is working closely with district administration and PDMA rescue operation teams to participate fully in relief efforts.
The Government of Balochistan is taking proactiveu7 measures to mitigate the impact of the heavy rains and ensure the safety of citizens.
