Independent Report.
Quetta, Oct. 29, The Balochistan government has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the recent road accident near Sibi, emphasizing the need for stricter enforcement of traffic laws.

The authorities have repeatedly warned transporters against overloading and overspeeding, particularly on passenger vehicles, where roofs are often used to carry additional passengers instead of luggage.

In response to the tragedy, the government has ordered regional transport authorities to take stern action against violators, including revocation of route permits. “Human lives are paramount, and no leniency will be shown to transporters who flout safety regulations,” stated Shahid Rind, spokesperson for the Balochistan government.

This move aims to curb the rising number of road accidents in the province, which have claimed numerous lives in recent years. The Balochistan Highway Police have been working to make the province’s highways safer, providing timely assistance to accident victims and ensuring adherence to traffic rules.

Key measures to enhance road safety include:

– Stricter enforcement of traffic laws
– Revocation of route permits for violators
– Increased patrols on highways
– Public awareness campaigns to promote road safety

By implementing these measures, the Balochistan government hopes to reduce the number of road accidents and ensure a safer travel experience for its citizens.
