The Balochistan government has appointed two new members to the Balochistan Information Commission for a three-year term, effective immediately. Ms. Shaina Khan, wife of Asif Rehman, and Abdul Shakoor, son of Muhammad Asghar, will serve as commissioners under the Right to Information Act 2021
Ms. Shaina Khan_: Commissioner, Balochistan Information Commission
– _Abdul Shakoor_: Commissioner, Balochistan Information Commission
for three-year term, effective immediately
Appointed under the Right to Information Act 2021
– Neither commissioner can hold any other public office or be affiliated with a political party during their tenure.
– They are also prohibited from engaging in any profession during their appointment, as per Section 18(8) of the Act.This development aims to strengthen transparency and accountability in the province, ensuring citizens’ right to access information.
