Quetta, July 8, 2024: The Balochistan Food Authority has released a detailed report on its actions taken in June 2024 against food suppliers who violate food safety laws. The report reveals that 1,446 food centers and production units were inspected, resulting in 4 units being sealed and fines imposed on 197 centers. The authority also issued notices to 373 food center owners and sent 43 food samples for laboratory analysis. A large quantity of fake and expired food items worth lakhs were seized and disposed of during the operation.
