Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti Directs Departments to Resolve Public Complaints

Quetta, November 13 – Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has directed all departments to play an active role in resolving public complaints and issues, warning that action will be taken against departments showing negligence in this regard.

During a review meeting of the Complaint Cell established at the Chief Minister Secretariat, Bugti was briefed on the progress made in resolving public complaints. Out of 1,021 complaints, 451 have been resolved, 482 are being worked on, and 88 were found to be invalid [1).

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of awareness among the public about the Complaint Cell and swift action on registered complaints. He personally contacted citizens who had filed complaints to verify the information and inquire about the progress of resolving their issues.

Bugti, who assumed office in March 2024, has outlined a comprehensive plan to enhance governance in Balochistan, with a focus on accountability and effective service delivery.¹ As a proponent of an Islamic welfare state, he aims to address Balochistan’s high poverty rate.

This move is part of Bugti’s efforts to promote transparency,in accountability, and efficient public service delivery in Balochistan.
