Quetta, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, accompanied by members of the provincial assembly, arrived in Islamabad today to meet Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. According to a press release issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, the high-level parliamentary delegation will brief the Prime Minister on the issues faced by landowners in Balochistan and discuss the provision of electricity supply as per the agreement reached with Quetta Electric Supply Company. This agreement, signed during the caretaker government, binds the company to provide 8 hours of electricity supply to landowners.
The delegation, led by Chief Minister Bugti, will also discuss the impact of power outages on agricultural losses in Balochistan. Additionally, they will hold talks with the Prime Minister on the development projects in South Balochistan, including the implementation of the development package.
This meeting is significant in addressing the long-standing issues of the province and seeking federal support for the development of Balochistan. The delegation’s discussions with the Prime Minister are expected to yield positive outcomes for the people of Balochistan.
