The Provincial Cabinet of Balochistan, led by Chief Minister Mir Safraz Bugti, held a meeting on May 21-22, 2024. The cabinet made important decisions regarding administrative matters and public welfare. They agreed to implement reforms in the education and health sectors and directed the ministers of both departments to prepare comprehensive recommendations. The cabinet also decided to link the promotions of officers and employees in both sectors to their performance.
Additionally, the cabinet approved the Child Marriage Restraint Bill 2024 and the Domestic Violence (Prevention and Protection) (Amendment) Bill 2023. They also decided to appoint the chairman and members of the Provincial Zakat Committee through a merit-based test interview process. Furthermore, the cabinet decided to merge the federal levies into the provincial levies force’s administrative structure.
