QUETTA: The Balochistan cabinet approved the provincial budget for the next financial year 2024-25 here in its meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti on Friday afternoon.
The provincial Finance department high ups briefed the salient features of the budget proposals for the next financial year.
It was informed that the health and education sectors are priority sectors in the next financial year budget.
Besides several new projects of development of different sectors including agriculture, livestock, irrigation are included in the budget.
The cabinet also approved the new pension contribution scheme. The cabinet was agreed to enforce the new pension contribution scheme from new financial year.
It was also informed to the cabinet that 3000 new vacancies would also be included in the next financial year budget.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that for the first time, percent approved projects have been made part of the budget proposals.
He said that the cabinet has agreed upon that 100 percent approved projects would be included in the budget from next financial year.
He said that the provincial ministers and members would monitor the development schemes in their respective departments and constituencies.
