Balochistan cabinet approves E-Commerce Implementation Plan, Code of Procedure Amendment Bill, Fisheries Endowment Fund

QUETTA: The Balochistan cabinet has approved the E-Commerce Implementation Plan and The Code of Criminal Procedure Amendment Bill .
The cabinet decided to reorganise the Pasni Fish Harbour and the Policy regarding the Fisheries Department Endowment Fund.
Similarly, the provincial cabinet approved the Marine Fisheries Patrolling Regulation 2023.
These approvals were given by the provincial cabinet in it’s meeting held with the Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti in the chair on Wednesday.
As per the decision made by the cabinet, the implementation plan of E-Commerce was approved under which steps would be taken for providing opportunities to youngsters including women and their access to the international and national markets.
This initiative would help accelerate the economic activities in the province engaging youth, it was believed.
These and similar other details were shared by the spokesman of the provincial government, Shahid Rind while briefing the media persons about the decisions of cabinet here at the Chief Minister secretariat on Wednesday.
The spokesman said that the cabinet strongly condemned the incidents of terrorism took place in the province on August 25 and 26.
The fateha was also offered for the departed souls of those who were martyred in the incidents.
As the cabinet approved the Code of Criminal Procedure Amendment bill , the administrative officers were given the magistrate powers for prevention of the inflation and improvement in the municipal services and public interest.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister directed to prepare comprehensive recommendations by directing to formulate three different categories for payment of the financial compensation to different martyrs of the Levies force.
The cabinet made certain decisions for development of the fisheries sector and. Under the decisions, it was decided to reorganise the Pasni Fish Harbour.
Similarly, the cabinet approved hiring of the services of experts for making the Fish harbour project viable after determining the place for establishment of new site for the same.
In addition to this, the concerned authorities were directed to involve the local fishermen in the decision making in this regard.
The cabinet also approved the policy of Fisheries department Endowment Fund, through which the resources would be increased for welfare of the fishermen.
The cabinet also approved the Marine Fisheries Patrolling Regulations 2023 for ending the illegal trawling.
Initially, the services of 100 Levies personnel would be handed over to the Fisheries department for patrolling.
Moreover, the cabinet approved increase in the production of mangroves in the Charna Island marine protected area.
In this regard, the Secretary Forests Dostain Jamaldini was directed to prepare comprehensive recommendations.
The cabinet also approved appropriate increase in the rate of fees about the Balochistan solid waste management.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister directed to all secretaries to ensure their timely presence in the cabinet’s meeting.
He on the occasion said that the objective behind all decisions of the government is to improve living standard of the common men of the province.
