Balochistan Assembly Committee Meets to Discuss Information Department’s Performance

Quetta, Nov. 29, The Standing Committee on Information of the Balochistan Assembly met under the chairmanship of Rahmat Saleh Baloch. The meeting was attended by members of the assembly, including Dr. Muhammad Nawaz Kibzai, Sanjay Kumar, and Safia Bibi.

Director General of Public Relations, Muhammad Noor Khetran, briefed the committee on the department’s responsibilities, functions, and challenges. He informed the committee that the information department has offices in 16 districts of the province.

Khetran also shared that the department has initiated programs to promote the interests of youth, including the creation of velogs, and is awarding them recognition. Chairman Rahmat Saleh Baloch emphasized the need to stop fake news and announced that the department will take measures to counter misinformation.
