ANP to Participate in PTM’s Pukhtun National Court

Independent Report

Peshawar, October 7,

Awami National Party (ANP) Central President Aimal Wali Khan announced the party’s participation in the Pukhtun National Court, convened by the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM).

“We will stand foremost in advocating for Pukhtun rights, resources, and sacrifices,” Khan stated.

The ANP delegation, led by Provincial President Mian Iftikhar Hussain, will attend the jirga.

Khan criticized the government’s ban on PTM, saying:

– “Banning PTM won’t solve issues; it will complicate them.”
– “Is PTM a parliamentary party to be banned?”
– “Instead of suppressing peace advocates, the state must listen.”

He urged resolving issues in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, warning against inflaming youth and national sentiments.
